Canberra, ACT

There's no longer a Canberra registry wedding office. But don't despair as our registry wedding alternative is more affordable and more romantic.  Our Canberra ceremony location is very photogenic,  and is the perfect choice for couples wanting a simple and beautiful ceremony.

Location highlights: This location is quiet and private, peaceful and charming. Our celebrants love this park because it's always perfect, no matter the weather or the time of year. No other park changes with the seasons as magically as this. The views across the lake, the autumn leaves, cherry blossom season,  the stunning art and manicured gardens, the beautiful trees and shrubs, and the private little pockets of space that seem to have been created just for a JMW ceremony make this spot simply brilliant. Not to mention the secret rose garden. Don’t forget to hire a photographer as you’ll want to capture every detail.

Local features: Canberra has every kind of dining and accommodation you could hope for. And nothing is more than 15 mins drive. Whatever you want to do to celebrate afterwards, you can find it in the ACT.

Important things to note: This is a big park so make sure you check the map of where to meet (we will send this before your wedding day). We don't want you or your guests to get lost.

Accessibility: Level access from parking. Suitable for wheelchairs users and people with limited mobility (just let your celebrant know in advance so they set up close to paths).

Other places you might consider:  Canberrans love the South Coast -so do check our our ceremony locations at Batemans Bay, Berrara and Burrill Lake. But be warned, it will make it hard to pick just one location!

Wollongong, NSW

This location is one of the best places for a beach wedding in Wollongong.  With the choice of a stunning beach ceremony or a relaxed, leafy park setting, Illawarra locals will be able to continue to enjoy their ceremony location for years to come. Private, yet conveniently located for all the best restaurants and cafes, you will have your choice of a wide range of ways to celebrate after your ceremony.

Location highlights: You have the choice here of being married on the grass or on the sand. The little section of beach near where the lagoom meets the seas is much quieter than the nearby patrolled beaches, so even in summer you can have a ceremony on the sand without a packed beach spoiling your photos. Locals or elopers wanting a small wedding in Wollongong will find this spot ticks all the boxes.

Local features: Easy parking, close to popular reception venues, restaurants and accommodation.  Sky Diving into your ceremony also an option for the brave (or crazy).

Important things to note: This area is popular with locals on a warm saturday afternoon. We can still find you a nice spot for your ceremony but you will need to allow extra time for parking. Or consider choosing a sunset or early morning ceremony for solitude and that magic light your photographer will love.

Accessibility: For those with limited mobility still wanting to get married on the beach this is a good option as you only need to walk about 10m on sand. For wheelchair users or others who can't walk this distance on sand your celebrant can perform the ceremony in the park and set up in a place that allows level access on a concrete path if needed.

Other locations to consider: If you want to elope to Sydney, we have lots of locations to choose from. Or head south to Batemans Bay, Burrill Lake or Berrara.

Eastern Suburbs Beach (Sydney)

For a relaxed beach wedding in Sydney it's hard to go past our amazing location hidden amongst the world famous beaches of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Sydney-siders and elopers alike will love this quiet ceremony location with the most incredible view.

Location highlights: If you're up for a short scramble over the rocks (safe, but maybe take off those heels) you can have your ceremony in the most epic cliff top location. Private and other-worldly, your photos will be incredible and you will feel like the only people on earth. You also have the choice to stay on the grassy, easily accessed hilltop with views over Sydney's famous beaches.  For a seaside wedding in Sydney's East you will be amazed at how much privacy this spot has (it's a bit of a secret).  Oh, and it it's raining, and you hire one of our partner photographers, ask them about the secret cave.

Local features: The cliff lines 'round this area are spectacular - so unique and perfect for photos. Then of course the beaches are world famous, so pop down onto the white sand for some of your photos before choosing one of the millions of amazing local restaurants to celebrate at.

Important things to note:  It can get chilly here in winter- there isn't a lot of shelter from the wind. We suggest picking another one of our many amazing Sydney locations if you want a winter wedding.

Accessibility: There is a concrete path from the road to the grassy hilltop area we use for the ceremonies. It's on a slope but suitable for most wheelchairs users and people with limited mobility (just let your celebrant know in advance that you won't use the clifftop area for the ceremony).

Other locations to  consider: We also have another beach wedding location in Sydney - on the Northern beaches. For other non-beach options (more suitable in colder months) check out our most popular location on the harbour, or the stunning parks in Homebush, Petersham, Chatswood, Penrith or Parramatta.

Brisbane Seaside Park

The Wynnam Foreshore is popular and picturesque. With ocean views, relaxed sea-side vibe and variety of local features with ceremony location is the perfect place for a relaxed and memorable ceremony. Your photos will be beautiful and you can celebrate afterwards in style- a more lux option than a Brisbane registry wedding.

Location highlights: This location has a lot of variety, so you’ll have a great spot for your ceremony regardless of the season and you’ll have a wide variety of scenery for your photos afterwards. The sea-side and leafy park feeling combine for the ultimate simple ceremony location. Sunsets are epic here, and in summer a later afternoon ceremony is perfect - there's something for everyone here.

Local features: Only 35 mins from the CBD and it will feel like you are miles away (in the best way). This is a quiet seaside suburb with beautiful views over Moreton Bay and the glasshouse mountains in the distance. Close to popular local restaurants and cafes, you will  find somewhere just right for your celebrations after your ceremony.

Important things to note: Even on the busiest day of the year we can find an area that will afford you the privacy you deserve for your ceremony. The sea-side is always at the mercy of the elements, but we make the most of a covered area in the park in the event of rain. Be sure to book a photographer - as this is a very photogenic location.

Other places you might consider: We have several other options in southern Queensland. You may wish to consider the Brisbane Riverside Park location, located in New Farm, our Scarborough location or a Gold Coast elopement.

Port Elliot, SA

The stunning coastal town of Port Elliot is the most glorious location your wedding ceremony.  Just 82 kms from Adelaide, this majestic horseshoe shaped beach is overlooked by the lusciously bright and colourful Soldiers Memorial Rose Gardens, both are options for your ceremony - and our celebrants say this the best beach location in SA.

Location highlights:  Stunning coastal views, waves and rock formations make this location one our most photogenetic. You have the option here of a beach ceremony or one in a stunningly manicured park overlooking the sea.  Both are exquisite.

Local features: Glorious sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and manicured gardens create a joyous setting for your romantic little ceremony.   The town and it's scenery are like something from a fairy-tale. Port Elliot and it's bigger sister town of Victor Harbor, with a Horse Drawn Tram still running to Granite Island, where the Fairy Penguins reside amongst the artistic sculptures scattered along the island's walking trail. Beautiful restaurants and an abundance of stunning Air BnB or holiday rental homes to choose from.

Important things to note: This location has limited availability. Book early to avoid disappointment. Please note that the summer holidays and easter school holidays are quite busy times of year in this part of the world.  If you want your ceremony during this period we suggest early mornings.  The rest of the year is very peaceful.

Accessibility: There are quite a few stairs to access this location.

Other locations to consider: Our Adelaide location is another South Australian option. Or for other stunning coastal elopement locations maybe take a look at our Byron Bay, Perth Beach and Melbourne Beach locations.
