Geelong is the perfect elopement destination, especially for Victorians wanting a relaxed coastal vibe for their ceremony. Geelong’s personality is perfect for a wedding – fun, classic, romantic and full of surprises. And extremely photogenic – the perfect place to capture your special day.

Geelong is a charming and romantic elopement destination located in Victoria, Australia. With its picturesque coastal scenery, vibrant arts scene, and historical landmarks, Geelong provides the perfect backdrop for an intimate elopement ceremony.

Location highlights: Eastern Beach is situated the eastern edge of Corio Bay, providing you and your guests with breathtaking vistas of the bay and the surrounding landscape. You have the choice here of being married on the grass, with an ocean outlook; or on the sand, for the full beach elopement experience.  The iconic Geelong Waterfront, with its Art Deco-style buildings and picturesque promenade, offers a romantic setting for your ceremony and provides numerous photo opportunities – especially popular are the ferris wheel, jetty and spacious parkland area.

Local features:  Geelong offers a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, allowing you to focus on each other and your love story. With a range of boutique accommodation options and wedding services providers, you can curate a personalised elopement experience that reflects your unique style and preferences.

Important things to note: This area is popular with locals on a warm Saturday afternoon. We can still find you a nice spot for your ceremony but you will need to allow extra time for parking. Or consider choosing a sunset or early morning ceremony for solitude and that magic light your photographer will love.

Other locations to consider: We have several other Victorian locations to consider – or maybe you want to elope to Hobart… or for other small town beachy locations consider Port Elliot, Wollongong or maybe Byron Bay!
