Southern Highlands - private cottage
Simply book one of two gorgeous, lovingly restored cottages in the heart of Bowral, and host your Southern Highlands elopement or micro wedding in one of the quaint, private garden spaces during your stay.
Location Highlights:
You have two stunning options, each with its own personality:
No 52 Bowral This is no ordinary cottage. No 52 is the childhood home of Sir Donald Bradman, lovingly restored and modernised into one of the most inviting and character-filled spaces you'll ever stay in. History lives here — and so does every modern comfort. Hold your ceremony in the garden or inside this iconic home, and make your wedding day a moment you'll talk about forever.
Cherry Cottage, Bowral Just across the road, Cherry Cottage is fairytale perfection. A private rose garden, and a sense of quiet seclusion make this the ideal backdrop for an intimate elopement ceremony. Small, beautiful, and completely yours for the weekend.
Hire one cottage or both. Gather your closest family and friends, stay the whole weekend, and let the Southern Highlands work its magic on you.
Local features: Bowral is one of the most romantic places in New South Wales to elope — and just 90 minutes from Sydney. The Southern Highlands region is renowned as one of Australia's premier wedding destinations, and it's easy to see why: historic sandstone villages, hatted restaurants, award-winning wineries, and lush green hills in every direction. Whether you celebrate with a long lunch after your ceremony or spend the weekend exploring, you won't want to leave.
Important things to note: To hold your ceremony at one of the cottages, you'll need to be staying there — which honestly just means you get to enjoy it even more.
Simply book your chosen cottage directly (Cherry Cottage or No 52 Bowral), then book your Just Married Weddings ceremony for the same dates. We'll take care of the rest. Your ceremony can be held in the garden, the courtyard or inside — whatever feels right for you. At No. 52 you can even say I do next to the famous Bradman water tank.

Hidden amongst the world- famous beaches of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Sydney-siders and elopers alike will love this quiet ceremony location with the most incredible view.
Location highlights: We use a stunning headland location for our ceremonies - at the northern end of Maroubra.
It's a bit of a hidden gem (shhhh) but if you're up for a short scramble over the rocks you can have your ceremony in the most epic cliff top location. Private and other-worldly, your photos will be incredible and you will feel like the only people on earth.
You also have the choice to stay on the grassy, easily accessed hilltop with views over Sydney's famous beaches. For a seaside wedding in Sydney's East you will be amazed at how much privacy this spot has (did we mention it's a bit of a secret). Oh, and it it's raining, and you hire one of our partner photographers, ask them about the secret cave.

Caves Beach, NSW
Our Caves Beach location is perfect for anyone wanting a really relaxed wedding in a beautiful, peaceful location. With some of the most stunning beaches in NSW, Lake Macquarie locals will be able to continue to enjoy their ceremony location on anniversaries (or just whenever) for years to come. Anyone considering eloping to the Central Coast / Lake Macquarie area will have the most magical and relaxed experience here.
Location highlights: This is an insta-worthy location for your wedding, with white sand and a very back-to-nature vibe. But you'd already know that if you're a local. There's no need to travel anywhere else for a beautiful wedding when you live on one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. And, bonus for pet owners, this is a dog friendly beach, so you can bring your fur babies if you want to.
Local features: At low tide you will love the photos you can get in the caves at the southern end of the beach. These ancient stone formations by the sparkling sea create a breathtaking coastal paradise unlike any other. Easy parking, close to popular reception venues and more casual dining options. If you are eloping here, the neighbouring Caves Beach resort is a lovely place to spend your honeymoon.
Important things to note: There is very little shade here, so in mid-summer we recommend early morning or late evening ceremony times. In certain places on the beach phone reception is very patchy, so it isn't ideal if you wish to video call family for your ceremony. If you want to avoid the sand, we can hold the ceremony on a grassy area overlooking the beach. Just let your celebrant know.
Accessibility: It is tricky to access the beach, so not suitable for mobility impaired guests or couples. If you are happy to have the ceremony on the grass overlooking the beach there is level access to an area we can use- note that the path is unpaved (a mix of grass/ dirt/ sand). We have had wheelchair users navigate this path easily before, but it might not be suitable for everyone.
Exact ceremony location: At Just Married Weddings, we use set locations, but not always a fixed spot within those locations. This is because our experienced celebrants (and affiliated photographers) choose the best ceremony spot on the day, based on weather, lighting, time of day, and what else is happening nearby.

You will be spoilt for choice with food and beverage options, to raise a glass after you say I Do. Avoca Beach provides a wide range of accommodation options, from luxury resorts to cozy beachfront cottages - you'll find just the place for you. Exact ceremony location: At Just Married Weddings, we use set locations, but not always a fixed spot within those locations. This is because our experienced celebrants (and affiliated photographers) choose the best ceremony spot on the day, based on weather, lighting, time of day, and what else is happening nearby.
You’ll always receive clear meeting point instructions before your ceremony, and your celebrant will guide you from there. If you have a specific spot on the beach in mind, simply let your celebrant know in advance — they’ll do their best to accommodate it and ensure the best possible experience on the day.
Other locations to consider: Closer to Sydney we have beach locations on the Northern Beaches and in the East.

Byron Bay, NSW
There is no comparison. Byron Bay is romance and relaxation combined. Embark on a romantic journey in one of Australia's favorite holiday destinations, where the idyllic blend of pristine beaches, lush hinterlands, and bohemian charm sets the stage for an intimate elopement or micro-wedding ceremony that will be etched in your hearts forever.
Location Highlights: Belongil Beach, in Byson Bay is chosen to make the most of the beautiful beaches that bring people to Bryon, while being a little further from the action so that you aren’t lost in a crowd while you say ‘I Do’. The vista is unforgettable, the perfect setting for the intimate celebration of love you’ve dreamed of.
Local features: Immerse yourself in the bohemian allure of Byron Bay, as you exchange vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by the town's vibrant culture, eclectic art scene, and renowned local cuisine, adding an unforgettable touch to your time here.
Important things to note: Parking near Belongil Beach can be difficult, we advise staying in accommodation close to Belongil or taking an uber. At this location we do not have an on-site shelter available, the ceremony will need to be moved to a picnic shelter closer to town in the event of rain.

Northern Beaches (Sydney)
Escape the traditional wedding frenzy and embark on a serene elopement experience on a secluded beach, where you can exchange vows in privacy and tranquility.
Location Highlights: At this location you have the choice of a true beach wedding right on the sand in a tiny little, relatively private area of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Or, you can keep your shoes on and just admire the view from the lookout while you say I Do. This patch of the Northern Beaches isn’t as busy as many others, so you won’t be lost in a crowd. Parking is a little easier too! The area of beach we use is a small pocket of sand at one end of the main beach, separated from all the activity by a rock pool, so there’s a little more peace and quiet than you’d expect to find with a Sydney beach wedding. The grass area is also comparatively quiet.

This is especially important at our Northern Beaches location as we have found an amazing spot we would rather not share with the world (shhhh). For other non-beach options (which are probably more suitable in colder months) check out our most popular location on the harbour, or the stunning parks in Petersham, Chatswood, Penrith or Parramatta.
